ISP Billing system is one of the range of financial applications developed by Metasoft.
ISP Billing system is a unique financial
control environment regulating the relations between the service
providers, traders, dealers and consumers within the framework
of supplying services. This system has been implemented within
3-tier architecture. ISP Billing solution
is designed to automate all the business processes of a company
providing ISP services.
The main functions of the ISP Billing system:
- Interaction with hardware. The system works directly with the communication hardware (CISCO) using the RADIUS protocol. The option to cut the users off on-the-go has been implemented (when they run out of credit)
- Services expandability. The system can support other services without changing the system concept and the database structure.
- Postpaid/prepaid clients. The system maintains the information about the prepaid cards of different types as well as postpaid contract clients. The module for emission of card products has been implemented in the system.
- Bookkeeping and technical accounting. The system enables the user with an option to maintain the bookkeeping of the ISP provider and the contract clients. Parallelly there is an option for technical accounting in conventional units (hours, units, etc.)
- Tariffs flexibility. A flexible mechanism of tariffication has been implemented in the system by means of the tariffs language.
- System customization. The reports language has been built into the system. Using it, the end user can construct report queries and forms. Due to the regulation subsystem the end user can set up running certain operations described by the user according to the regulations (at a predefined time of day, month, year).

In February 2004, the ISP Billing system has been put into industrial use for the company “Ukraine Online”. Besides the Internet service, the following services have been included into this implementation:
- Voice over IP,
- GRIC (Internet Roaming),
- 8-800 (Internet Roaming).
